GBFS

Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS); is formed when molten blast furnace slag is rapidly quenched from the furnace, rather than left to slowly solidify by air-cooling. Granulated blast-furnace slag has a glassy structure and considerable hardness and brittleness.

Application:

  • Blast furnace cement material
  • Ordinary Portland Cement material
  • Production of Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag
  • Used for the earth and construction works
  • General purpose construction sand in civil engineering applications
  • Raw material for the high-grade glass manufacture
  • As a stabilising agent in road construction
  • Soil and pavement stabilising media or grit-blasting material
